Do young-ish people die from pneumonia these days? Isn't it usually Aids related, or when someone is already very sick?
Or am I just a conspiracy theorist?
Right after my father died in 2006, I ran across a saying by Oscar Wilde that for some reason made me laugh hysterically. "To lose one parent may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness."
its not normal but the exact same thing happened to my freinds mom a few months ago. had the flu, turned in to pnumonia and boom, dead within hours. it is a fucked up strain of the flu going around. she was in her late 50's as well.

Pinky,
Living in LA, you probably saw this in the paper - a 45-year-old doctor died within 24-48 hours of getting a cold. Here's the link:

It happens, and it's shocking. Relatively healthy people aren't supposed to die of pneumonia. Like Jax said, it's a f*cked up strain.
I'm ashamed to say I don't read the paper, Surfer. But that's a horrible thing.
Still...have they questioned his wife?? Sorry sorry, it's that conspiracy thing I've got going on again.
