I think I have blogger's block

Either the world just got really fuckin boring , or I have shit to write about.
Regardless...it's just not happening and I'm not sure how to fix it! This time last year I couldn't find enough time to blog what I had to say, now I'm long on time , short on content.

Damn you Jamie Spears! We had a good thing going here. Your daughter would do some dumb shit and we'd all point and judge. Damn you Anna Nicole for having such a damn cute kid with Larry Birkhead who was indeed the father. Damn you Heath Ledger for actually dying of an overdose accidently. Damn you Paris Hilton for not being a bigger dumbass to go back to jail. Damn you all for having your shit taken care of in a timely manner.

If it weren't for Rhianna and Beat-Happy Brown, I'd have folded up shop and called it a day.

But I can't do that. I can't quit you baby.
Gossip comes and goes...but snark lives forever.

That one. And it's driving me crazy.

I mean, hell, Enty's blind is about an actress doing drugs at Fashion Week? In other breaking news, the sun didn't explode today. ;)

Jax, I still love reading your blog, even when it doesn't involve celebrities. Mooshki...yours too!

But Cheri, then we have to come up with our own material, and that's hard work! LOL! Thanks, though. :)

It happens to the best of us. I have a few websites I go to when I need inspiration but sometimes even that doesn't help....just know that you still have a loyal audience :)

It'll come back girlie, maybe you just need time to mentally recharge? A few things I do when I just. can't. write:

I make sure any errands I had to do, get done. Not only does my mind wander while I do them (which helps replenish those mental stocks), but sometimes I find it easier to write when I know I have some tasks done that needed doing. I have a harder time writing when I know I got shit to do.

I'll go to my favorite websites (or find new funny ones) and just read for hours. It gets me in the mindset of comedic writing again: the looking for holes, making connections, making a gag. Its just easier to get back into the habit.

Sometimes reading a bunch of interesting stories and all the user comments can help. Sometimes its just one person's lousy (or great) opinion that can spark one of your own and inspire a story idea. Oftentimes I'll start a story simply because someone said something silly that got me off on a mental tangent and *boom* content!

I like to read Digg and Reddit for all the best web stories. Good place to read comments to get your mental ball rollin' when you just can't dredge up an opinion (I've so been there. Everyday.) StumbleUpon is sooooooo fucking awesome for finding interesting stories, too, and its customizeable to filter in only the content you want, I highly highly highly recommend (its led me to writing resources that have been invaluable and literally made me a better writer)

Get a change of scenery if need be. Go to a cafe with wireless or somewhere you can just zone out and block out the world. Theres a wireless cafe I like that lets me sit out doors on a picnic table in the trees.

Most of all, just take some time out for yourself. Go live life, chat with friends, sip a Bellini al fresco somewhere. Feeling completely relaxed and like you've taken care of yourself can be really helpful. Writing is just that much harder when your brain feels like its in a vice grip. I can barely write when I'm under stress. That may not be the case for you, hell none of these hints may be. But I hope it helps at least a little.

In summation: Its good to figure out under what circumstances you write the best (ie full stomach, early in the morning, clear head, no hangover, those are a few for me) and try to recreate that scenario as often as possible.

So I am just going to give you my next blog, since we're friends, and I don't want you to be bored. WTF is up with Granny and the 200 lb. chimp who almost wasted her BFF? And was the chimp having Xanax withdrawal....cause I know that'll cause ME to beat someone down....
