Heath Ledger fans out of the UK are asking movie execs to retire the Joker from upcoming sequels to better preserve the performance by Ledger before his untimely death a year ago.
I don't know. On one hand I can see where they stand but on the other, it is a character. A character not owned by the estate of Ledger or originated by him.
Now if they wanted to retire Ennis from Brokeback Mountain....sigh.
It's still sad, isn't it?

Poor guy - nothing like having an accidental overdose at the prime of your career, but to top it off, dying in the home of an Olson twin.
I think winning the awards for this amazing role (just saw this the other night and he was incedible) should be enough.
